Carrizozo has many Volunteers that have gone through countless hours of training to provide Emergency Services to the people of Carrizozo and the surrounding area.

The Carrizozo Fire Department has two stations, three Pumpers and two brush trucks along with 21 active members.

Carrizozo Emergency Medical Services part of Lincoln County EMS is the only county station with two ambulances. Our location requires us to keep two and the volunteer EMT's to man them.
